I have been working as the 7th grade special education Resource Center teacher here at Moultrie ever since my family and I moved to South Carolina in 2005. This year I am lucky to be working with the amazing teachers on Team Sullivan's (Mrs. Moriarity, Mr. Robke, Mrs. Baker and Mrs. Seignious).
I have been working with special needs students since my graduation from University of Delaware in 1992. I began my teaching career in Central New Jersey, where I worked with children of all ages and disabilities. In South Brunswick, New Jersey, I taught in a variety of programs and schools including elementary school resource centers to residential facility programs for young adults.
I obtained my graduate degree in Special Education from Trenton State College in New Jersey in 1999. I worked for several years in Matawan, New Jersey as a Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultant at the middle, high and elementary levels.
In 2005 my family and I moved from Navesink, New Jersey, to Mt. Pleasant. I have two wonderful children, Amanda, currently in 8th grade at ECMCS and Alec, currently a senior at Academic Magnet HS. My hobbies include running, spinning, boating, traveling, snorkeling, sitting at my daughter’s cheer competitions and watching my son's plays!
I am delighted to be working at such a wonderful school with such amazing parents and students in the community that I also call home.
