Alysia Lambert

Mrs. Alysia Lambert happily joined the faculty at Moultrie Middle School in 2017. Prior to her appointment at MMS, she was the high school choral director for Palmetto Christian Academy, East Cooper Arts Academy, Lyons Township (LaGrange, IL), and Lincoln-Way East High School (Frankfort, IL). She received her Masters degree in Voice Performance from Illinois State University and her B.S.Ed in music education from Western Carolina University. Her choirs have been selected twice to perform at the Illinois Music Educators Association State Conference and for music education students at Northwestern University and Wheaton College. Additionally she has taught classes for teachers on self-assessment, differentiated instruction, and learning targets. She is a member of the American Choral Directors Association, the National Association for Music Education, and Who's Who in American Education. She was awarded the Top Outstanding Person from the Illinois Jaycees for her community service efforts. Her husband is the band director at Wando High School and their two daughters attend Belle Hall Elementary. Mrs. Lambert credits her own middle school chorus teacher, Millie Turek, as a primary influence on her career.
