Mr. Nick Reece, Principal

Nick Reece joined the district in 2004 as a seventh grade science teacher at Thomas C. Cairo Middle School. In addition to teaching during his nine years at Cario, he also served as an assistant administrator and as an assistant varsity swimming coach and boys basketball coach for Wando High School. Nick relocated out of state to Delaware (DE) where he started his administration career as an assistant principal. Nick returned to South Carolina in July 2018 and rejoined CCSD at West Ashley High School as the associate principal. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Health Science and a minor in Computer Science from James Madison University. He also earned a Master of Arts in Teaching in Secondary Education from The Citadel and a Master of Education in Secondary Administration and Supervision from Charleston Southern University. Nick resides in Mount Pleasant with his wife Christine and their three children. 

Mr. Ryan Giles, Assistant Principal

Ryan Giles has served as the assistant principal at Moultrie Middle since 2012. Ryan served as a history teacher at Cario Middle from 2003-2012 and Wando men's basketball coach from 2003-2010. Ryan earned a BA in history from Furman University, an MAT in secondary social studies, a Masters of Education in Education Administration from The Citadel and is currently a state certified administrator for grades K-12. Ryan resides in Mount Pleasant with his three sons and wife Dr. Amanda Giles.

Mrs. Shana Maxwell, Assistant Principal and Title IX Coordinator

Shana A. Maxwell has served as an assistant principal with CCSD for three years. Shana earned a BA in sociology from Claflin University, an MEd in counselor education from South Carolina State University, a Masters of Education in Elementary and Secondary Education School Supervision from Charleston Southern University and is currently a state certified administrator for grades K-12. Shana resides in Summerville with her son and husband.
 
Nicole Richbourg

 

Mrs. Nicole Richbourg, Assistant Principal

Nicole Richbourg has been working in education for eleven years. Ten of those years have been in CCSD. She was previously one of Moultrie's eighth grade English teachers. Nicole earned a BA in middle grades English from the College of Charleston, a Masters of Educational Leadership, and a Masters of Education in Administration from Southern Wesleyan University. She is a state certified administrator for grades 6-12, and resides in Johns Island with her husband, Ben, and two children.
