Attendance / Early Dismissal

Parents/guardians have the responsibility to ensure that all school-age children in their care are in school and on time every day. Parents may report absences through their parent portal by using this link.

Students have the responsibility to be on time and attend all classes. Students are expected to attend school 180 days.

• Note that attendance in Middle School is taken each period. If your child arrives late, or leaves early they will be marked absent or late to the periods they have missed.  
• Please refer to the CCSD Attendance Policy below for what is deemed lawful (excused) absences and tardies.
• A student is considered truant after three (3) consecutive all-day absences, or five (5) cumulative all-day absences which are not excused by a medical doctor's written statement, proof of bereavement, principal's approval, or legal documentation.
