Attendance / Early Dismissal

Parents/guardians have the responsibility to ensure that all school-age children in their care are in school and on time every day.

Students have the responsibility to be on time and attend all classes. Students are expected to attend school 180 days.

Below please find the required Moultrie Attendance / Early Dismissal Form and CCSD Attendance Policy.

  • Note that attendance in Middle School is taken each period. If your child arrives late, or leaves early they will be marked absent or late to the periods they have missed.
  • Charleston County will call for any unexcused absence.  If you receive a call during school hours from Charleston County during school hours, please check your voicemail, as it may be a robocall from the district due to your child being marked absent from a class.
  • Any time your child is absent from school, arrives late or leaves early, they will need to submit either the Moultrie Attendance Form or a medical excuse to the attendance office for the absence to be excused.
  • Please refer to the CCSD Attendance Policy below for what is deemed lawful (excused) absences and tardies.
